Happiest Minds IPO subscription updates:

On day one of bidding, Happiest Minds Technologies' initial public offering is seeing a good response from retail investors so far.

The public issue has seen a 1.97 times subscription so far as it has received bids for 4.59 crore equity shares against IPO size of over 2.32 crore shares (excluding anchor book), as per the data available on exchanges showed.

The reserved portion of retail investors has subscribed 10 times and that of non-institutional investors 34.89 percent, while the portion set aside for qualified institutional investors has seen 8 percent subscription.


Closing Bell: Benchmark indices ended with marginal gains in the highly volatile trading session on September 7 with Nifty above 11,350.

At close, the Sensex was up 60.05 points or 0.16% at 38,417.23, and the Nifty was up 21.10 points or 0.19% at 11,355. About 1212 shares have advanced, 1461 shares declined, and 187 shares are unchanged.

Bharti Infratel, HDFC Life, Dr Reddy’s Labs, HUL and ITC were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were M&M, UPL, GAIL, Bajaj Finance and NTPC.

Among sectors, FMCG and IT indices ended in the green, while selling witnessed in the auto, bank, energy and infra names.
